SUVs have become so popular these days that incredible midsize sedans like the 2020 Mazda6 are often overlooked. That would be a pity, because the Mazda6 provides a combination of head-turning styling and an incredible ride. Inside, buyers at dealerships like the Mazda dealer in Castle Hills will find a beautiful, sophisticated cabin that gives luxury sedans a run for their money. Most importantly, the Mazda6 is fun to drive. Buyers looking for a midsize sedan that provides the look and feel of a luxury car without the luxury price should take a look at the 2020 Mazda6.

Mazda6 Trim Levels

According to the Castle Hills Mazda dealer, the 2020 Mazda6 comes in five different trim levels: Sport, Touring, Grand Touring, Grand Touring Reserve and Signature. We’ll compare the different models and see what each one brings to the table.

Mazda6 Sport

The Mazda6 Sport and Touring trims are powered by a 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that makes 187 horses and 186 lb-ft of torque. Power is sent to the wheels through a six-speed automatic gearbox. Features that come standard on the Sport trim include LED headlights, daytime running lights, 17-inch alloy wheels, a leather-wrapped steering wheel and shift knob, remote keyless entry, push-button start, automatic climate control, manually adjustable cloth seats, dual-zone climate control, rain-sensing wipers and a rearview camera. Standard tech features include an audio system with six speakers, an 8-inch color touchscreen, Bluetooth and two USB ports.

Mazda’s i-Activsense suite of safety features also come standard. I-Activsense comes with lane departure warning with lane-keep assist, blind spot monitoring with rear cross-traffic alert, smart brake support with collision warning, radar cruise control with stop and go, and advanced smart city brake support with pedestrian detection.

Mazda6 Touring

Move up to the Mazda6 Touring trim and you’ll get all the features that come with the Sport trim plus heated front seats, leatherette-trimmed seats, a power-adjustable driver’s seat, 19-inch alloys, Apple CarPlay and Android Auto, a power moonroof and two USB charging ports for the rear seats.

Mazda6 Grand Touring

The Grand Touring and higher trims are powered by a turbocharged 2.5-liter four-cylinder engine that develops 250 hp and 310 lb-ft when using premium gasoline. With regular gasoline, the engine generates 227 hp. This unit is connected to the six-speed automatic transmission, and it comes with paddle shifters mounted on the steering wheel.

Standard features include bigger front ventilated brakes, leather upholstery, adaptive headlights, an auto-dimming interior mirror, heated side mirrors, an auto-dimming driver-side mirror, ventilated front seats and heated rear seats. Music lovers will enjoy the 11-speaker Bose premium audio system that comes with a three-month trial subscription to SiriusXM satellite radio.

Mazda6 Grand Touring Reserve

The Grand Touring Reserve trim comes with several amenities, including 19-inch alloy wheels, leather-trimmed seats, a heated steering wheel, an eight-way power driver’s seat with memory and power lumbar, ventilated front seats, a six-way power passenger’s seat, heated rear seats, adaptive front lighting, a head-up display, LED headlights, power-folding side mirrors and a rear lip spoiler.
